Saskatchewan Craft Council (SCC) is a nonprofit charity that has been a cornerstone of Saskatchewan's artistic community since its inception in 1975. For five decades, SCC has been committed to fostering excellence in fine craft, supporting artistic growth in our province, and connecting Saskatchewan’s craftspeople with broader audiences. Among their multi-faceted provincial programming, the organization operates SCC Fine Craft Shop + Gallery on Broadway Avenue in Saskatoon and sells the handmade work of over 130 juried member artists in their online store. “Roadside Series: A Saskatchewan Printmaking Story”
This collection of woodcut prints celebrates the colourful nuances of the sky and ground seen from a Saskatchewan perspective. Using modern technology to complement traditional printmaking methods, artist duo Jeni Ly and Jacob Semko strive to capture the feeling of familiarity, calmness, and the heavenly ethereal shapes of the prairie sky we have all experienced while travelling on our province’s flat highways.
About the Exhibition:
Exhibition Dates: August 30 – November 1, 2025
Location: Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery, 813 Broadway Ave, Saskatoon, SK
Workshop: Saturday, September 20, 7 pm – midnight. The public is invited to view the exhibition during Nuit Blanche Saskatoon and learn how to make their own mini woodcut print from the artists themselves.
Reception: Saturday, October 18, 5 – 7 pm. All are welcome!
