Li Wan
Li Wan is an artist specializing in sculpture and public art. She has participated in numerous public art projects and residencies worldwide. Her works have been collected by galleries and institutions. She was a visiting artist at the University of Saskatchewan and held a solo exhibition at Gordon Snelgrove Gallery.
“Matchmaking Corner”
Matchmaking corner is an installation of hundreds of ceramic wings. Participants can take one home, carried in a glowing protective bag, allowing them to walk around Saskatoon with the work. The artist will follow participants on Instagram (if they wish) to see how the wings interact with their surroundings. Perhaps two will meet and fall in love, symbolized by a pair of wings.
