Saskatchewan Craft Council

In this exhibition at the Saskatchewan Craft Council, artist Heike Fink explores the critical balance between land, wildlife, and humans.

Central to the project is an immersive floor installation of thousands of felted river rocks. Fink invites visitors to Nuit Blanche to remove their shoes, get into the "water," and physically engage with the stones—building cairns, reclining, or rearranging assemblages.

This interactive experience prompts a deep yet whimsical contemplation of nature and our environmental impact. Visitors are asked to keep their floor time brief to accommodate everyone!
