Mye Reflection

Mye Reflection is about self-reflection, but it is a twist on the classic self-reflection narrative in which the protagonist overcomes a battle and becomes better by the end. In this story, Mye is a middle school girl who is struggling in multiple areas of her life, and the stress manifests in her actions towards others.

She is labelled as troubled, a problem child and a bully by others, and during her self-reflection, she is forced to confront the deepest parts of herself and the two demons that are manifestations of her trauma. At the end, she might be alive, but she has not won the battle. In fact, she is in a worse state than she was at the start. Self-reflection is difficult and can risk making you even worse off when you are forced to confront the worst parts of yourself. However, only through understanding the darkness can one move toward the light.
