After 5 amazing festivals, we bid a fond farewell to Jane McWhirter, whose vision, passion, and dedication as the Curator for Nuit Blanche Saskatoon have shaped our festival in profound ways. From curating unforgettable festivals to fostering important artistic conversations, Jane’s time with NBYXE has left an indelible mark on our community.

Jane has been the curator of NBYXE since 2021. Jane’s bold and steadfast leadership navigated our festival through and out of the pandemic and to the bright space it currently sits in SK's cultural landscape. Through her work she supported over 200 artists and organizations, showcasing their work to reach over 12,000 annual festival attendees. Her passion for amplifying the work of emerging and underrepresented artists is remarkable. Jane has built bridges with cultural organizations, funders, and other community-based organizations.

Jane has contributed so much to Saskatchewan’s artistic and cultural community. Her work creating fleeting moments at Nuit Blanche Saskatoon have created lasting memories that continue to inspire. The Members of the Nuit Blanche board, past and present, will deeply miss her insightfulness, creativity, and vibrancy within our festival. We all wish to thank her for all the hard work she has put into lighting up our festival from 2021 through 2024.
