Saskatoon Open Door Society is a non-profit organization serving refugees and newcomers to Saskatoon. Through creative art projects, we bring together people of different backgrounds and from all walks of life to build more diverse, inclusive, and peaceful communities.
“Peace bird”
A paper mâché bird carries the weight of whispered wishes, each note a feather of hope. Nearby, fabric once discarded is reborn in color and texture, weaving stories of renewal. Then, in the breath of a live performance, peace takes human form -- moving, sounding, becoming. Together, these works create a constellation of moments, reminding us that peace is not stillness but a living, breathing act of reimagination.
