Brody Burns
Brody Burns is a Cree artist from Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon. Beginning with graffiti and illustration, his practice deepened during his psychology studies and MFA at the University of Saskatchewan, where he began combining Indigenous ways of knowing with concepts from psychology and science. Spirit, energy, and vibration sit at the core of his work, representing a combined perspective of Spirit and Science through abstract form and colour.
Night Shift
Night Shift transforms The 525's downtown residency space into a portal to Indigenous futures. Projection-mapped imagery moves across the interior while a curated soundscape wraps the room, inviting viewers beyond the physical world into speculative Cree cosmologies. Ancestors and descendants, spirit and science, energy and vibration. Working to expand his personal journey alongside the exploration of Indigenous Futurism, Brody layers AI-assisted projection content he authors and directs onto painted form. Under cover of night, the space becomes a living, shifting meditation on where we come from and where we're going.
