USask SFTA Drawing presents a pop-up drawing exhibition curated in response to the 221 space.
Mary French and Marlo Turk have developed a large-scale textile drawing installed in the storefront window. Considering the interior and exterior perspectives, they use light, shadow and material contrasts to build an environment inspired by the sensation of being within a tree canopy.
Inside the 221 building is a room within a room. Here Emma Benoit, Alara Chester, Savanna Blackwell, Lejo Liimatainen, Avery Neumiller, Julianna Phillips, Gracyn Torgerson and Ella Zentner install drawings that respond to this space within a space through themes such as masking, the miniature, portals, pattern, perception, and time.
