Family Flowers is an interactive experience that viewers can participate in by moving the flowers from the canvases into the vase (tap and hold on the flowers and slide your finger on the phone screen to move them). Each one of these flowers is a favorite that my grandparents and mom had, adding a personal layer of meaning but one that remains ambiguous for the viewers who simply see flowers. As the viewer places the 2D flowers into the 3D vase, they merge my personal memories with a shared experience that sits between real and virtual worlds.

This is an Augmented reality work where the observer is to use the app Hoverlay to scan a QR code where upon scanning the code an 3D animation will appear on the views phone where a creature that that has one eye is sitting on a peppermint and chocolate donut and the creature also resembles in appearance. The creature has a long stock for a neck and body with tendril-like appendages and uses them to hold onto the donut and interact. The actual eyeball floats in mid air not attached to the creature but still moves with their head.
